Maryland Declares June 4, 2025 as Biosafety Day
We are proud to announce that Governor Wes Moore has officially proclaimed June 4, 2025 as Biosafety Day in the State of Maryland! This milestone recognition coincides with the 2025 ChABSA Symposium, held at the Universities at Shady Grove, and reflects the growing importance of biosafety in protecting public health, scientific research, and our communities.
The proclamation is a celebration of the tireless work of biosafety professionals—those who operate behind the scenes in laboratories, public health institutions, universities, and industry settings to ensure that biological materials are handled safely and responsibly.
