Corporate Support

The Chesapeake Area Biological Safety Association (ChABSA) is committed to advancing biological safety as a scientific field by promoting education, research, and professional development. In line with this mission, ChABSA has established in partnership with the Universities at Shady Grove, the Biosafety and Biosecurity Scholarship Fund. Applicants may select degree programs from 9 public Maryland universities at one campus in Montgomery County, Maryland. This provides ChABSA leverage to expand student engagement and information about biosafety as a career. The Biosafety and Biosecurity Scholarship Fund will provide students with $2,000 scholarships per each academic year for up to two years. Students in the following majors are eligible and contingent on good academic standing:

  • B.S., Biological Sciences
  • B.S., Public Health Science
  • B.T.P.S., Laboratory Management
  • M.S., Pharmaceutical Sciences
